Bodybuilding is the use of progressive resistance exercise to control and develop one's musculature for aesthetic purposes. Bodybuilding (the art of displaying the muscles of the physical body) did not really exist prior to the late 19th century, when it was promoted by a man from Prussia named Eugen Sandow, who is now generally referred to as “The Father of Modern Bodybuilding”.

Bodybuilding is a Scientific Process of Excessive Muscular Hypertrophy through Heavy Weights and High Reps (Training Volume) and Exhibition of Developed Body in a Artistic Manner to Public. Body Building is an Entertainment Sport based on Esthetic Appearance. Someone who engages in this activity is referred to as a bodybuilder.
